The masterpieces of one of the most fertile seasons of Ferrara painting, that of the early 16th century, brought together in a major exhibition at the Palazzo dei Diamanti. From the years of the handover from Ercole I d'Este to his son Alfonso (1505) until the death of the latter (1534), a refined patron of great ambitions, capable of renovating the private spaces of the court as well as the public spaces of the city.

Between national premieres, world dance premieres and great international guests, the Teatro Comunale's seasons are set to captivate audiences. Expected, among others, are Lavia, Pennacchi, Guerritore, Poretti, Buffa, Marcorè and the Italian premiere of Paul McCartney's opera. Inauguration of the new Palazzina Marfisa d'Este

This noble 16th century Este residence and exhibition venue will finally be returned to the city after careful restoration that will enhance its value. The Palazzina is named after Marfisa d'Este, daughter of Francesco d'Este - from whom she inherited the palazzo - and niece of Lucrezia Borgia. Marfisa was undoubtedly an impetuous and fascinating woman, a lover of art and culture, who is also remembered for being the protector of the poet Torquato Tasso at the court of Ferrara.

Nino Migliori "Una ricerca senza fine"

The work of the eclectic artist from Bologna arrives at the Estense Castle with a major exhibition. Nino Migliori (Bologna, 1926) is one of the most authoritative and multifaceted Italian researchers in the field of photography. His production has always moved across the various languages of contemporary art: narration, gestuality, experimentation, conceptualism are just some of the possible definitions to decipher the scope of the author's poetics.


Opening of the spazio Antonioni

A permanent space, in continuous evolution, that will be located in the Padiglione di Arte Contemporanea, in the middle of the Addizione Herculea, and that will enhance and make available to the public the enormous heritage of Antonioni's fund, which contains over 47 thousand items including films and documentaries, set photographs of the great masterpieces under his signature, the originals of the scripts, the director's library and discotheque, the correspondence he kept with the major protagonists of the cultural life of the last century (from Roland Barthes to Luchino Visconti, from Andrei Tarkovsky to Giorgio Morandi).
