Let's start with the symbol and centerpiece of the city: surely it will have enraptured your eyes as soon as you cross the center. The Estense Castle surrounded by the moat offers so many cues for your beautiful photos. As soon as you have finished your photo shoot in the wonderful surroundings of the Castle, you should definitely make a stop at the nearby Foschini Roundabout! This is a small oval courtyard inside the Municipal Theater, once used for the transit of carriages today a pedestrian area. If you cross Piazza Trento e Trieste after a few meters, walking down the charming Via San Romano, you will cross Via delle Volte: one of the oldest and most charming streets in Ferrara! Whichever direction you take from the center, sooner or later you will cross the city walls. The city walls, originally 13 kilometers long and now reduced to 9 kilometers, now form a large garden.
