Acquedotto Monumentale

Villa Melchiorri

This Art Nouveau masterpiece was designed by Ciro Contini and built in 1904 for the horticulturalist Ferdinando Melchiorri. The concrete decorations modelled by Minerbi are an integral part of the architecture: sinuous bunches of sunflowers wrap around the supporting pillars, the edges of the terrace and the lintels of the windows.

Torre della Vittoria

On November 1st, 1928, King Victor Emmanuel III inaugurated the monument to the fallen of Ferrara, whose fulcrum is the bronze Victory at Piave River by Minerbi, which is located inside the former tower of Rigobello. The tower was redesigned by Girolamo Savonuzzi and renamed the Torre della Vittoria.

Certosa Monumentale

Minerbi also worked on funerary works for those of the Catholic faith. Examples are the tomb of Giorgio Maciga with the putto that invites silence (1905), the tomb of Guelfo Campana (1907) and the sepulchral monument to the young Lilia Monti with her portrait in profile (1923).

Cittadella San Rocco

In the obstetrics department of the former Sant'Anna hospital is an allegorical relief, The Communion (1921), with a kneeling mother nursing her newborn child. In the same department you can also find a terracotta from the 1930 Maternity.

Cimitero ebraico

For his Jewish patrons, Minerbi created the tomb with roses and poppies in Vicenza stone for the honourable Adolfo Cavalieri (1912), the monument, recently restored, with the bronze eagle dedicated to his aviator nephew, Pico Cavalieri (1923), the result of a collaboration with his sister Anita Cavalieri, and the tomb of Tina Pesaro (1927), notable for a Venetian style mosaic decoration.
