Ferrara Film Festival
The Ferrara Film Festival returns to award, as it has every year since the 2020 edition, the Golden Dragons for Lifetime Achievement to great figures in the film industry. The name Golden Dragons recalls the legend and mythological figure of the dragon killed by St. George (Patron Saint of the City of Ferrara).
The eighth edition of the kermesse will be opened on Sept. 16 by Giancarlo Giannini.
Ferrara Film Festival: the agenda
This year's edition of the Ferrara Film Festival brings with it a great novelty: the festival "opens" to the public thanks to the Studios Lounge Live. This is an "interactive" space made of large windows, so completely on view, in the beautiful setting of Piazza Trento e Trieste. Live interviews and photo calls with the big guests of the day will be hosted here daily. The audience outside, in addition to attending live chats with the Festival's protagonists, will be able to interact with the event by asking questions and curiosity, as well as through the Ferrara Film Festival's official social channels.
Studios Lounge Live schedules:
Saturday, September 16 | 12 noon, 3 p.m., 4 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 17 | 12 noon, 3:30 p.m., 9 p.m.
Monday, Sept. 18 | 3:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Sept. 19 | 3:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Sept. 20 | 3:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 21 | 3:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m.
Friday, Sept. 22 | 3:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m.

The screenings and Premières will be accompanied by unmissable appointments: such as "Meet the Stars" and masterclasses with film stars Giancarlo Giannini (promoted by "Mercatorum"), Kevin Reynolds (director of such worldwide blockbusters as "Waterworld," "Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves" and "Fandango," whose 40th anniversary of filming will be celebrated), Steven Bauer (co-starring with Al Pacino in "Scarface," whose 40th anniversary of the film's release will be celebrated), Martina Stella (among the best-known Italian actresses and a member of the Jury in this edition), Francesco Grisi (founder of EDI - Effetti Digitali Italiani, the Italian leader in the field of special effects; masterclass promoted by ANICA Academy). In addition, the "Ferrara Film Expo," a cultural container in which a series of important conferences will be held in which the members of the Ferrara Film Festival Jury will be the protagonists and in which highly topical issues such as the use of Artificial Intelligence in Cinema will be central. There will also be the exhibited works of artist Danilo Sciorilli, featured in "Countdown," the art posters that will fill the city, and the appointment with UNICEF Italia, the festival's exclusive partner in the humanitarian sector, to talk about the rights of children and adolescents also through the big screen.
