Teatro Nuovo Seasons

Built between 1925 and 1926 to a design by engineer Sesto Boari, Teatro Nuovo stands right in Ferrara’s historic centre. Behind its understated façade, the auditorium features stucco work and relief decorations in the late Art Nouveau style, as well as acoustics that were carefully considered from the earliest stages of its design.

The theatre opened in 1926 with La cena delle beffe by Umberto Giordano. Today, its programme spans a wide range of genres, from drama and music to dance, comedy, musicals and family shows. It’s another great way to include live entertainment in your visit to Ferrara.
