Un Fiume di Musica
Ferrara has always been a city linked to water and the great river Po, its delta, its branches and canals. What better way to enjoy the music than waiting for the sunset along the city's Darsena or perhaps after enjoying a tour on the 'Nena' - the boat that for years has travelled the waterways of Ferrara, giving great emotions to citizens and tourists alike.
In June and July, every Monday the prestigious Jazz Club Ferrara, in collaboration with the Jazz Department of the city's Conservatory, offers a series of concerts dedicated to jazz music, and in August, manouche music and its major Italian and foreign interpreters fill the dock with their unmistakable sound during the Gipsy Guitar Festival, dedicated to Mario Maccaferri, a luthier from Cento who gave sound to the gipsy guitar.
Also not to be missed is the Wah Wah Music Fest, dedicated to unreleased and independent youth music where up-and-coming artists can be heard. All concerts are free and include seating, with the possibility of consuming drinks or food.
All concerts are characterized by refined sounds and low volumes, respecting the neighbourhood, the audience and the magical place that hosts us.
