06 July 2024 - 26 December 2024

Immagine evento

From Thursday 6 June to Thursday 26 December 2024 the South Wing and the Camerini of the Castello Estense will host monographic exhibitions dedicated to the painter
from Ferrara Antonio Maria Nardi, a prolific author of the first half of the 20th century, and to Maurizio Bottoni, one of the most authoritative interpreters of contemporary figuration.

Maurizio Bottoni's production focuses mainly on portraits - a genre in which he achieves hyper-realistic results - and on compositions where nature is the protagonist. He alternates motionless mountain landscapes with trees and grasses in a thoughtful recovery of the highest figurative-naturalistic tradition of modern painting.
Antonio Maria Nardi, an eclectic artist. Known as a painter, illustrator but also as a sculptor, he produced numerous works in which he was able to bend his narrative vein to a language full of pathos and immediate usability and naturalism to the essential geometries of Brazilian modernism.
